The views and practices of these farms are examined in terms of several philosophical theories--Ecofeminism, American Pragmatism, and the land ethic. After the paper is presented the students will comment on their experience. Erin McKenna is a Professor of Philosophy, former Chair of Philosophy and former chair of Women's Studies.
